Improved Multistreaming
complete
Hunter Hillman
Our experimental multistream feature (i.e., stream to multiple distribution platforms from a single origin stream) has longstanding limitations around configuration and recoverability, especially w/r/t changing configuration midstream.
We will ship several under-the-hood improvements such that multistream can be used confidently to reach broader audiences.

Is there any thought to allow the creation or stop/starting of multistream targets during an active session?

Noting one thing related to multistreaming we've heard recently is that apps that already leverage YT/Twitch consider web3 as a new distribution channel, and it would be compelling to have the content multistreamed into popular web3-centric destinations. I think it's still TBD what these destinations are, as they haven't all added streaming support yet, but I'd imagine a series of app options would be compelling. A Lens supported livestreaming app might be a good initial design partner for this.

Doug Petkanics: This is an interesting development in the space. Maybe there's a way we can highlight web3 distribution platforms in the UI as "targets" for the multistream (on equal footing with web2 options)
